How will you make an impact in this role? We're looking for an experienced engineering leader to join our Finance Technology organization and lead the design and delivery of applications and solutions for Finance Treasury and Regulatory Reporting outcomes in alignment with enterprise controls & compliance. This role requires a dynamic leader to drive our modernization journey for multiple portfolios and create innovative, scalable, resilient applications and platforms.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering leader with knowledge of data-oriented capabilities and a track record of designing and building modern applications in the Financial Service Industry.
Key responsibilities: Leading innovation, and using modern technologies to accelerate and support business growth.
Partner closely with product owners for on time delivery of product roadmaps, and ongoing technology delivery of new capabilities
Maintain constant transparency on delivery risks, proactively seek and decision options to mitigate risks.
Responsible for quality and metrics of platforms, including system performance, platform availability and scalability, operational efficiency, risk management, information security, data management and cost efficiency.
Actively provide leadership and deep technological knowledge, and contribute to the engineering team that will craft, develop, improve, and debug work efforts for business applications (both in house components and third-party platforms)
Attract, retain, and grow top Engineering talent across the organization, providing career guidance, development, and mentorship to team members.
Cultivate an environment of Engineering excellence and continuous improvement, leading changes that drive efficiencies into existing Engineering and delivery processes.
Collaborate with peers, Principal Engineers, and Principal Architects to assimilate new technology and delivery methods into scalable software solutions.
Deep understanding of the Product / Technology Platform's underlying tech stack and its core components
Hands-on expertise in one or more relevant technologies. Strong systems integration architecture skills and a high degree of expertise, ranging across several technologies with a proven track record of turning new technologies into business solutions.
Preferred experience in Finance processes, specifically Treasury related processes
Preferred experience as an Agile technology leader, managing multiple Agile teams in a release train.
Experience managing in a fast paced, complex, and dynamic global environment.
External technology contributions (patents, noteworthy Open Source. attributions, publications, etc.)
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels across functions.
Proficient managerial skills as required to operate a large organization, including budgeting, resource planning, staff management, etc.
Able to define, influence and deliver software solutions against strategic plans that promote Company Platform objectives.
Experience related to the core components of the Technology Platform's tech stack, as well as delivery optimization techniques in a 'total dev' continuous delivery environment.
Expert-level relevant hands-on engineering skills across a broad range of technologies, including deep expertise in the construction of enterprise-grade APIs and Services using innovative techniques
Ability to manage large-scale applications in terms of performance, production assurance, capacity planning and threat mitigation.
Demonstrate accountability, leading people with passion, enthusiasm, loyalty, and integrity. Owns and leads HR processes such as employee engagement, performance evaluations, talent development, etc.
Strong thought leadership skills with an ability to problem solve and create strategic plans.
Strong mentoring and coaching skills to empower teams and help create trusting, cohesive environment.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, or related field required, advanced degree preferred.
12 years of large-scale technology engineering and formal management in a complex environment and/or comparable experience.
Successful engineering and deployment of enterprise-grade technology products in an Agile environment
Large scale software product engineering experience with contemporary tools and delivery methods in a complex environment (i.e. DevOps, CD/CI, Agile, etc.)
Hands-on delivery experience in the fundamental components of the assigned portfolio's primary technology stack(s) (some of them include Java, Big Data Technologies, Apache Flink, Apache Spark, No-SQL Databases, Relational Databases, Microservices, APIs, JSON, XML, REST, BI Tools etc.)
Enterprise level Agile management and leadership skills preferred (PMP, SAFe RTE, LPM etc certifications)
Extensive experience as a leader within a Technology organization and/or in a product development company with experience that compliments the software product portfolio etc.
Creation of Engineering Best Practices adopted by a large segment of the technology organization.
Creation of tools or other technologies that become integral to the operation of the platform.
Successful assimilation of new technology into an existing technology stack
Outstanding influential and collaboration skills; ability to drive consensus and tangible outcomes, demonstrated by breaking down silos and fostering cross communication process.
Outstanding ability to work as a team collaborating with peers / product owners across the globe.
Qualifications Salary Range: $170,000.00 to $255,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
