We develop groundbreaking semiconductor processing hardware – both internally with process engineering and externally with vendors – to enable novel process technology. Are you ready for your next challenge?Responsibilities and Tasks:Strategic Project ManagementOpenly researches the root cause of customer problems to drive innovative improvementsEstablish the viability of new Semiconductor equipment or materials using EMI (Equipment Maturity Index) business process for maturing tool performance to HVM (High Volume Manufacturing) levels.Publish detailed documentation reflecting work plans, results, interpretation, conclusions, and recommendations.Drive and maintain legacy equipment issues.Collaborate with vendors on strategic process/hardware evaluations.Define requirements for vendor roadmaps to advance Micron's strategic objectives for future technology.Drive innovative solutions for hardware issues to improve system performance and maturity.Follow established policies to protect confidential information and company IP (Intellectual Property).Tactical Project ManagementImplement Preflight Meetings for installation, modifications/upgrades, and maintenance support for assigned PDE Development equipment sets.Demonstrate ownership of assigned projects including, but not limited to, documentation, EMI tool maturity, TIQ (Tool Install and Qual), and system finger printing.Summarize and publish plans, progress on existing experimental work, and document work in EMR's, Project Sheets and EMI Documents.Ensure Monthly CIP (Continuous Improvement Program) meetings are being held to review tool improvement initiatives.Maintain work record by updating ETO (Equipment Tracking Operations) for all work performed.Work with process engineer to resolve issues we are trying to fix, then define and publish a detailed plan with action items to accurate the issue with pre and post testing to confirm the fix is appropriate.Work with Facilities Engineering, PHA, Trades, and Vendors in support of projects, following the ECBP (Engineering and Construction Business Process).Be active in cost reduction and cost of ownership projects for given WS (Workstations).Process and Equipment KnowledgeEnsure documentation is up to date to include all related drawing, procedures, and web page information. Act as area authority and resource for on shift equipment techs and engineers.Provide written and verbal communication to process development, other equipment development groups and global manufacturing Fabs as needed.LeadershipPromote a collaborative environment by maintaining a professional and positive work demeanor/environment.Maintain appropriate documentation in Inventor's Notebook of potential intellectual property. Write disclosures and apply for patents for outstanding work performed.Support leadership decisions and demonstrate things we value.SafetyIdentify and promptly report hazards.Participate in Equipment HAZOP reviews and follow up and close findings determined by PHA for a safer working environment.Follow and define safety procedures and area work rules including accurate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), COHE (Control of Hazardous Energy), JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) business process and chemical safety.Operate and maintain equipment and tools within manufacturer's, department, and company safety guidelines.Requirements:5+ years of CVD or PECVD experience requiredWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
