Job Description SummaryThe Advanced Technologies Organization at GE Aerospace is inventing the future of flight through an unprecedented suite of commercial technology demonstrators in order to pave our way to a more sustainable future. This position is for an Evendale-based fluid system engineer supporting these RISE demonstrator programs.You will be responsible for defining and managing system requirements that pertain to supplier-designed fluids hardware (fuel, oil, pneumatic), starting from initial concept through design, development, and validation and culminating in a product vision. The position requires you to execute system and component analyses, coordinate within a multi-disciplinary team, and validate the design through testing.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesWork within a multi-disciplinary team which is both domestic and global, and both GE-badged and non-GE badgedManage hardware through the design process, from initial concept through design, development, and validationEnsure the hardware and system meet the engine and aircraft needs by leveraging a cross-functional team of design engineering, quality engineering, supply chain, and program leadershipSteer supplier efforts, including both technical design and programmatic aspectsActively participate in GE-internal and supplier design reviewsCoordinate with senior technical leadership on critical component design parametersComplete necessary analyses and evaluations of proposed designs by adhering to business standards and design guidelinesCommunicate and present analyses and decisions to technical and program leadershipUtilize lean tools to efficiently and effectively execute on concurrent projectsRequired QualificationsBachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or collegeDesired CharacteristicsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to document, plan, and execute projectsFlexible, friendly, and collaborative approach to working within hybrid on- and off-site teamsHighly-motivated self-starter who is passionate about inventing the next generation of aerospace technologyAbility to work within cross-functional teams to ensure the task is completed on time#LI-KHThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
