Blue Ridge Health is currently seeking a part time/tempoary Engagement Specialist to join our Behavioral Health Team. 403(b) retirement account with company matching This position e ffectively completes client check-in and check-out processes, manages client documents, updates all client data and assists clients with required paperwork with accuracy and confidentiality. Responsibilities include:
Prepares clients for clinic visit by updating all pertinent demographic and insurance information in the client's electronic medical record (EMR). Verifies existing demographic and insurance information in the client's electronic medical record prior to visit. Collects, prepares, assists, and ensures all new client and existing client paperwork is accurately completed and/or verified and updated during every client visit, including Sliding Fee Discount Services application. Complies with processes and directives for client appointments based on the requirements of the facility. Prepares documents for visits as needed for appointments (e.g. consent forms, slide applications, SBIRT, etc.) Routes incoming documents, faxes and mail, including electronic documents and scanned documents to the proper personnel for inclusion in the Electronic Health Record. Collects and posts payments and appropriate insurance co-pays from clients. High school diploma or equivalent. One year experience working in a medical office environment, preferred. Intermediate understanding of health insurance, Medicaid, Medicare. Basic medical terminology. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook. Electronic Health Records and Practice Management Systems experience preferred.
