Position Description Serve as the main point of contact for Santee Cooper's direct serve commercial customers and the subject matter expert for difficult customer situations with minimal guidance. Promote and implement Santee Cooper's Demand Side Management (DSM), Distributed Energy Resource (DER), Beneficial Electrification, and customer service programs with minimal guidance. Implement and provide expertise regarding numerous commercial energy services (energy assessments, energy audits, high bill analyses, and rate analyses) with minimal guidance. Develops strong customer relationships via Key Account management and market segment assignments, creatively utilizing them to best meet customer needs and solve their problems. Promote environmental stewardship through day-to-day actions and across the company. Adhere to all Santee Cooper safety policies and procedures while performing job duties. Display a positive attitude while supporting our corporate vision. Represent the conservation and energy efficiency department on cross functional teams when needed. Essential Job Tasks: Implements Santee Cooper's DSM, DER, Beneficial Electrification and customer services programs with minimal guidance.Possesses in-depth knowledge of these programs and accurately manage project data in the tracking system.Provides program guidance to others and effectively communicate program information throughout the company.Represents the conservation and energy efficiency department on cross functional teams when needed and be willing to lead if called upon.Inspects customer locations before or after energy efficiency projects take place to ensure program integrity.Meets with commercial customers to explain the energy services that Santee Cooper provides and serves as the subject matter expert during difficult customer situations.Performs both general and in-depth energy services such as energy assessments, energy audits, rate analyses, billing estimates, interval mesh network metering and high bill analyses with minimal guidance.Provides guidance in these energy services to other energy advisors or customer service reps, and effectively communicate unique situations to coworkers.Serves as program manager or primary responsible person for one of Santee Cooper's DSM programs such as Small Business Energy Saver, Standby Lease Generator, EVolve Grant and EV initiatives, Solar Share, Demand Response, or any future developed programs or areas.Communicates with others during these events. Some events may be held at night or on weekends.Participates in the development of new or evaluation of existing DSM, DER, Beneficial Electrification, and customer services programs.Reviews program documents, attend training and provide in-depth program/measure feedback when requested.Participates in internal and external training to support conceptual knowledge, maintain expert knowledge and stay up-to-date on industry trends.Understands the importance of training and encourage others to take full advantage of training opportunities.Identifies personal areas of need and actively pursue training to meet those needs.
Position Requirements This position may be eligible for hybrid (remote and in person arrangement). *Will consider Energy Advisor I, II or III Energy Advisor I Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Engineering or other equivalent degree with strong math or science background.Energy Management diploma preferred.Must be customer focused and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Experience with Electric Vehicles (EVs) or Beneficial Electrification is preferred.Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification preferred. $52,340 - $65,420 (min. - mid.) Energy Advisor II Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Engineering or other equivalent degree with strong math or science background + 2 years of related/relevant experience related to Program Management, Key Account Management, and/or Energy Advising.Energy Management diploma required.Must be customer focused and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Experience with Electric Vehicles (EVs) or Beneficial Electrification is preferred.Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification preferred.
