Downtown Streets Team (DST) is and innovative social impact organization fighting homelessness through the power of community and dignity of work. Located across 20 Northern California communities, DST sets out to provide meaningful daily activities including volunteering opportunities, paid work experience and community celebration for individuals who are currently experiencing homelessness and/or are reentering after incarceration. The Employment Lead will act as one of two leaders for the Direct Service Staff, as a liaison between Employment Specialists and program management. They are responsible for assessment of training needs and the development and delivery of training to support the needs of the Direct Service staff within multiple community-based programs. Additionally, they are responsible for basic leadership tasks in support of DST Direct Service staff by acting as a supervisor for the majority of Employment Specialists. This will be accomplished through extensive knowledge and experience of existing DST programs, strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, while managing changing priorities and a wider variety of duties and responsibilities. WHAT YOU'LL DO Supervise between 5-7 Employment Specialists under the WIOA and CRG contracts. Responsible for entire employment life cycle of direct reports (recruiting, hiring, coaching, etc.) as well as timecard and expense approvals. Assess training needs and develop curriculum for training Case Managers Facilitate regularly scheduled Direct Service meetings to include: schedule, agenda, facilitation and follow-up on any/all action items Represent Employment Specialist needs and updates at Project Managers Meeting, STE Ops Meeting, New Model meeting and other meetings as needed. Manage various Direct Service communication channels to include; slack channels such as #team-es,  and #team-directservices and DST Direct Service (Sharepoint) in collaboration with CM Lead Provide meaningful job coaching to Employment Specialists and to include; a deeper understanding of their role, addressing needs and encouraging innovative ideas Ensure that service philosophies and best practices remain consistent amongst all Direct Service Employees Conduct workshop(s) such as Job Squad (plus train the trainer) and trainings related to service delivery Create and maintain a resource library for Direct Services Research and implement new best practices for employment service delivery Act as primary lead for Cal CRG contract outcomes and reporting Market Downtown Streets Team to the community Fill in for ES position duties to provide in-person and virtual support as needed Work on special organization-wide projects related to Direct Service as assigned WHAT YOU'LL NEED  Ability to perform job duties with minimal supervision Excellent listening comprehension, written and verbal communication skills Experience in Microsoft programs Using personal computer, keyboard, mouse and monitor Observation and problem solving; hearing, seeing, reasoning and decision making Basic mathematical ability Valid CDL, insurance and access to a reliable vehicle Up to 90% regional travel is required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
