Title: Employee Relations Specialist

Location: Birmingham, AL (On-site)

Salary: $65,000-80,000
Vaco is seeking an Employee Relations expert to provide day-to-day employee relations support (coaching, counseling, and advising). He/she will ensure fairness and compliance in applying disciplinary actions in conjunction with managers and/or act as mediator between employees and managers when necessary. The ideal candidate will partner with management in an advisory role and review all disciplinary documents for consistency and attend disciplinary meetings. Tracks all employee relations issues and consequent actions to ensure timely corrective action and problem resolution Ensures digital personnel files are compliant and inclusive of all relevant employee activity Leads internal audits and reviews employee statements and investigative reports on workplace concerns. In partnership with leadership, manages annual performance reviews, compliance training and professional development training Fosters a positive culture and manages employee recognition Keeps abreast of new developments and emerging ideas in relation to employee relations Qualifications Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university; PHR or other HR Certification preferred 4-6 years of experience in Human Resources required and experience in Employee Relations highly preferred Knowledge and understanding of state and federal employment laws and regulations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task ONLY CANDIDATES WITH REQUIRED EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED.
