Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Employee Relations Partner to join our HR team. The Employee Relations Partner will be responsible for fostering positive employee relations and ensuring a fair and inclusive work environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, and a proactive approach to resolving employee issues.
The Employee Relations Partner will report to the HR Manager and will work closely with the functional areas of the business (HR, IT, Finance, etc.) while supporting our Operations and Production teams. This position entails being physically present at our Somerset, NJ office five (5) days a week, primarily focusing on afternoon and evening shifts.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary actions. Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints or concerns, ensuring fairness and confidentiality throughout the process. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Develop and implement employee relations strategies to promote a positive work culture and mitigate risks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR business partners, legal, and management, to address complex employee relations issues. Empower people managers with the tools and training needed to handle difficult conversations effectively, and loop in HR for additional support and guidance when appropriate. Keep abreast of relevant employment laws and regulations and ensure compliance in all employee relations activities. Identify trends and patterns in employee relations issues and recommend proactive solutions to address root causes. Partner with the HR team to improve HR processes and policies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to employee relations activities. Processing of all employee status change in the HRIS May be required to help support benefit administration to include enrollment, life event changes , communication benefit information to employees Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources , Business Administration, or related field 3-5 years of experience in employee relations or HR generalist role. Experience in providing support within work settings that include both exempt and non-exempt employees across various shifts ( experience supporting manufacturing or warehouse environments a plus ) Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Experience coaching and providing guidance to people managers on employee relations issues, performance management, and conflict resolution. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Proven experience conducting investigations and resolving employee disputes. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus. CompoSecure is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
