As an Employee Engagement and Administrative Analyst in the Workforce Development Bureau (WDB), youwill play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization by enhancing the talents of our workforce. Telework/Remote Work Information: This position is eligible for telework, with in-person attendance based onthe operational needs of the position under Government Code 142000, for eligible applicants residing inCalifornia only. This is a 12-month limited term position and may be extended to a maximum of 24-months and/or may become permanent based on operational needs. Working Conditions • This position works under the Human Resource Services Branch (HRSB) and is privileged with access toconfidential information. The employee acknowledges sensitive and/or confidential information is not to bediscussed, copied, or shared with unauthorized personnel outside the HRSB.
• Requires being in a stationary position, consistent with office work, for extended periods.
• Duties of this position are primarily conducted indoors.
• Standard office environment (artificial lighting, controlled temperature, etc.).
• Daily use of a personal computer, office equipment, and/or telephone.
• Additional working condition(s): Travel throughout the State may be required on an occasional basis. This work location is very convenient!  The CDSS is located two blocks from the light rail and public transportation: within walking distance to the State Capitol, parks, restaurants, farmer's markets and the Golden 1 Arena. Our building has easy access to I-5, Highway 50, and Highway 80.
This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under California Government Code Section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time. Specific telework arrangements may be discussed in more detail with the respective hiring manager. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the Department of Social Services policies. Headquarter location will be designated based on the selected candidate's primary residence location, and/or the closest CDSS location.

1. How have your education, experience, skills, and personal knowledge of Employee Assistance andWellness Programs prepared you to perform the job duties of this position? What was your role? What wassuccessful about the program?
2. What is the highest level of responsibility you have been tasked with as it relates to planning large-scaleevents? What was your role? What was successful about the event?
3. How would you define employee engagement? Describe your experiences as it relates to employeeengagement? What was your role? What was successful about your involvement? You are required to complete employment history on the application form (STD 678). You may be disqualified from the hiring and selection process if the employment history is not complete. If you are meeting minimum qualifications with education, you must include your unofficial transcripts for verification. If selected, you may be required to provide official transcripts at the time of hire.
Training and Development assignments may be considered based on the availability of eligible candidates and are subject to approval by the Hiring Authority prior to appointment. Training and Development assignments are temporary in nature and shall not exceed twenty-four (24) months.
Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview, but they must provide proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment.

• Experience with public speaking and coordination skills, managing all levels of stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to analyze data and make recommendations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working with Employee Assistance and Wellness programs.
• Experience working with mentoring and coaching programs.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, MS Teams, Visio, and SharePoint, and project management toolssuch as Monday.com. Public transit (mass transit) passes. 100 percent discount on public transit passes sold by state agencies, up to the monthly exclusion amount provided by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). 100 percent reimbursement on public transit passes purchased by state employees, up to the monthly exclusion amount provided by the IRS.
