What do we need? We are seeking a proficient Eligibility Specialist to join our growing team. The Eligibility Specialist will perform clerical and administrative functions related to the verification of third party medical insurance coverage. This is an exciting role for the healthcare professional with knowledge of federal and private insurance coverages. 
What will you provide? Upon referral, where possible, interview patients, as authorized by our client. Assist patients who appear to qualify for financial assistance programs in completing the appropriate Federal, State, or County application(s) or other appropriate application(s), which shall include obtaining the necessary verification(s) and support documentation to substantiate eligibility. Upon patient's consent, represent the patient at interviews required by the relevant Federal, State or County agency(ies) or department(s), and escort the patient to the face to face interview,(if necessary) Upon the patient's consent represent the patient at a Fair hearing or appeal denials in any other manner as deemed acceptable by Aspirion in it's sole discretion.  Discover and verify third party coverage (commercial, military, government, workers compensation, etc.) responsible for payment of claim. Aspirion shall provide client with a series of management reports conveying performance information such as account activity and payments received. These reports will keep client updated on its referral activity. Aspirion eligibility specialists will document all activity and application statuses in the hospital system for review Must be able to walk, sit, and stand for extended periods of time Requirements Strong networking and relationship skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong work ethic and commitment to success. Strong Computer skills Ability to work and build relationships with Government State/County workers, social workers and administration staff Must have a satisfactory credit/background check which includes a review of credit history, criminal history, employment and education verifications, and securities registration and/or insurance licensing verification, if applicable Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience preferred Eligibility experience is preferred  Benefits At Aspirion we invest in our employees by offering unlimited opportunities for advancement, a full benefits package, including health, dental, vision and life insurance upon hire, matching 401k, competitive salaries, and incentive programs.
The US base pay range for this position starts at $18.00 hourly. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, education, training, licensure or certifications obtained. Market, location and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary, a competitive benefits package is offered.
