Electronic Technician | West Chester, Ohio Temp-to-Hire (4 months) | Onsite Monday - Thursday 5:30 am – 4:10 pm
Kelly® Engineering is seeking multiple Electronic Technicians for a temp-to-hire position (client will convert to direct hire at 4 months) for their client in West Chester, OH. Our client is a global leader in providing mission-critical engineered electronic components and subsystems.
In this role, the electronic technician will be testing, alignment and troubleshooting of cosite systems and subsystems.
Responsibilities / Functions Setup and perform technical electronic test functions with the assistance of other technicians and the aide of written procedures and instructions.
Troubleshoot systems performance to the module and circuit card component level.
Perform mechanical assembly such as installing a cover, installing cables or replacing a module in order to get the product to perform to specification properly.
Required to perform module level troubleshooting and repair of RF cosite subsystems.
Use of schematics, PCB/PWB layouts, mechanical drawings, and work instructions.
Systems technicians will use oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers and automated tests sets.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities Must be well versed in the use of common RF test equipment (including calibration & troubleshooting equipment).
Must have knowledge of power amplifiers, synthesizers, power supplies, digital control circuitry, RF filter principles such as bandwidth, Q, insertion loss, and return loss as well as an advance understanding of filter alignment and component function.
PC skills are required for data entry and use of test software.
Demonstrates ability to read schematics and troubleshoot simple circuits.
Must have experience with commonly used test equipment such as oscilloscope, multi-meter, power supplies and network analyzer.
Ability to interface effectively with internal customers.
Ability to work closely with all levels of the organization.
High level of attention to detail.
Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
Ability to pass and obtain an IPC-610 certification.
Qualifications High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 2-year degree in an electronics field from an accredited college, university or technical school required.
Minimum 2 years of RF-related technician or equivalent experience required.
Knowledge of J-STD-OO1 preferred and ability to obtain certification once employed is required.
