Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems on production and utility equipment• Perform maintenance tasks according to work orders and standards• Document maintenance tasks using computerized maintenance management system• Perform equipment repairs and modifications• Promote safety awareness and follow company policies• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instruments• Execute routine preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance• Participate in RCA's for Electro-Mechanical issues• Participate in SPS activities for the plant• Ensure operation of machinery and equipment
Requirements
• Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment• Knowledge of assembly and detail engineering drawings• Pass Sonoco Category 2 Electrical requirements and certification• Experience with 440/480v electrical components• 3+ years of maintenance experience in closure manufacturing or metal stamping plant• Experience with Allen Bradley PLC Hardware/Software, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics• Thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment• Strong critical thinking skills• Two-year technical degree or apprenticeship program in a technical field• Willingness to work any shift, holidays, and overtime
