A day in the life of an Electrician includes:
Complies with safety guidelines, policies and procedures. Stays current with national electrical code standards and other regulatory guidelines. Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical equipment to help meet production goals. Troubleshoot and maintain three (3) phase electrical systems, plus PLC system daily. Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform preventive and corrective maintenance. Assemble and test experimental motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids and other electrical equipment and components. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service. Works closely with production departments and attends regularly schedule meetings scheduled with production management. For this role come equipped with:
3-5 years of Industrial Electrician or Maintenance Technician experience with a strong background in PLCs Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner Ability to work independently and in a team environment For bonus points, come with knowledge of the lumber manufacturing process and an Industrial Electrical or Maintenance Technician diploma/degree.
