Rapidly growing, long established manufacturing company looking to add eager talent. Manufacturer of communications equipment for primarily military customers.
Responsibilities:
• Attention to Detail
• Strong project planning and management skills
• Lead liaison between manufacturing and engineering
• Monitor production line for trends relating to quality and upon findings recommend design or process improvements
• Oversee assembly line and formulate methods to increase throughput and find cost savings
• Develop and implement automation systems to improve inspection procedures and productivity
• Ensure compliance of products to military, environmental and statutory requirements
• Provide timely well-considered judgments
• Liaison with purchasing to find replacements to obsolete components
• Update CAD drawings and create engineering change orders to reflect any changes to the design that have been performed.
• Prepare periodic reports and other data for presentation to President and management team, indicating record of achievement in relation to established goals; recommend improvements, personnel requirement and expenses.
• Prepares and presents technical presentations to appropriate customer groups.
• Administer work rules, disciplinary action; assist with internal company programs through communication with staff employees.
Requirements: Bachelors in electrical engineering, or electronics
Software familiarity: AutoCAD/AutoDesk Inventor, Electronic simulators, LabView.
Degree in acoustics, physics, or electronics is highly desirable. Acoustics experience a strong plus.
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong communication and presentation skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Understanding of Lean manufacturing processes. Must be able to work independently as well in small groups in an informal environment towards company goals.
