Under the direction of the Senior Hydroelectric Power (HEP) Utility Engineer (Supervisor), the incumbent will assist with work related to history, risk evaluations, priority standing and maintenance management of all Field Division Assets. The Field Division Asset Engineer interfaces with the Headquarters Asset Engineers located in the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and Division of Engineering (DOE) and with staff from both the Asset Management and Maintenance Management office as well as with Field Division Planner Schedulers and Plant and Civil Maintenance staff.

Incumbent must have working knowledge of engineering fundamentals and mathematics. Knowledge of various industry standards, processes, codes, and safety orders in the design, operation, maintenance, and testing of mechanical and electrical systems and equipment in pumping plants, hydroelectric power generating plants, and other related facilities. Ability to utilize personal computers and commercial software programs to perform engineering computations. Ability to prepare clear and concise reports and presentations. Other desirable qualifications include, both civil and plant experience with condition assessments, experience with reliability, criticality and risk assessments, knowledge, or experience of the best practices for preventative maintenance.
