Duties and Responsibilities Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine material requirements or assembly instructions Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using several small manual and power tools, including but not limited to: wire cutters, screwdrivers, stripping tools, signal generators, drills, and calipers Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications Measure and adjust voltages to specified values to determine operational accuracy of instruments Safely use any special tooling and lifting devices provided Clean parts, using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths Confer with supervisors or engineers to plan or review work activities or to resolve production problems Use visual inspection techniques to verify quality of product Assist in troubleshooting efficiency and effectiveness Maintain a clean, safe work area free of foreign materials Participate in training and cross-training efforts as needed Other duties as assigned REQUIRED JOB SKILLS One year minimum assembly experience in a manufacturing environment Ability to read written procedures and understand wiring diagrams/schematics/work orders/blueprints Basic knowledge of using common hand tools, such as hammers, screwdrivers, tape measures, wrenches, vice grips, levels, and pliers High school diploma, GED or equivalent required QUALIFICATIONS Demonstrated high level of quality in workmanship Basic math, reading, and reasoning skills Ability to communicate effectively, written and oral Demonstrated knowledge and use of hand and power tools Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions Demonstrate multi-tasking ability to respond to manufacturing needs Ability to work independently or with a team supervisory responsibilities This position does not include supervisory responsibilities physical demands/ ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS This position is located in an industrial/production environment, with exposure to:
Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arms length, stoop, kneel, and crouch Regularly required to stand for long periods of time Arm-Hand Steadiness ' The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position. Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Frequently required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and balance Near Vision ' The ability to see details at close range Noise levels typical of an manufacturing production environment Finger Dexterity ' The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
