Job Summary Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Grant Writer to join their newly formed EITS (Enterprise Information Technology Services) grants office, focusing on securing funding for IT projects within our Enterprise. The Grant Writer, working collaboratively with the various departments within IT, will play a critical role in researching opportunities, developing, and submitting proposals, and supporting the grant management process to enhance our IT initiatives throughout the organization.
Job Description Proposal Development: Write compelling grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documents, in alignment with funder requirements and organizational objectives Collaboration: Work closely with IT and finance departments to gather necessary information, align proposals with technical and budgetary requirements, and ensure project feasibility Submission and Follow-Up: Manage the submission process, adhere to deadlines, and conduct follow-ups as necessary. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of proposals, reports, and correspondence in the grants management system Reporting: Assist with the preparation of interim and final reports to funders, ensuring compliance with grant condition Grant Research: Identify and evaluate grant opportunities relevant to IT projects in the healthcare sector Skills Required Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant writing Candidate must have previous experience within the healthcare or IT sector(s) Exceptional Writing: Strong ability to convey complex technical concepts in clear, persuasive language Organizational Abilities: Excellent time management skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively Project Management: Basic knowledge of project management principles to contribute to proposal development and execution Financial Acumen: Competence in developing project budgets and understanding financial reports Research Proficiency: Skilled at conducting thorough research to identify grant opportunities and understand funder priorities Education/Training/Certifications A Baccalaureate Degree in English, Communications, Public Health, Information Technology, or a related field Additional Requirements Shift Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pay Rate $27.00 per hour We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
