In this role you will be responsible for Inpatient and Outpatient END(Electroneurodiagnostics) testing - EEG (Electroencephalography), LTMU (Long-term monitoring Unit), SSEP (Somatosensory Evoked Potentials), VEP (Visual Evoked Potentials) BAER (Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potentials and ERG (Electroencephalogram). The department is 24/7 with Call services afterhours and weekends. Graduate from an accredited ASET program or 2 years current work experience in EEG, Evoked Potentials or Clinical Long Term Monitoring Graduate from an accredited ASET program. Certificate of completion from an accredited ASET program for EEG or AAS degree in Electroneurodiagnostics from an accredited ASET program. Clinical rotations associated with an accredited ASET program. Basic computer skills and MS Office required.
The ELECTRONEURODIAGNOSTICS DEPARTMENT at the Barrow Neurological Institute ® (BNI) / St. Josephs Hospital is responsible for all Inpatient and Outpatient electro neurodiagnostic testing including: EEG/ SSEP/ VER/ERG/BAER testing. The EEG department is a busy testing lab averaging 520 procedures per month with a staff of 7 technologists. Technologists are also responsible for the clinical component of the 5 bed Pediatric and 10 bed Adult Epilepsy Monitoring Units. Standard shifts are 8 hours which may vary depending on department scheduling and testing. The EEG and EMU departments are 24/7 units which require a technologist to be on call. All EEG Technologists are ABRET Board registered or ABRET Board eligible.

Qualifications Minimum Required
Experience
3 years current work experience in EEG, EPs, or clinical long-term monitoring.
Education
High School Diploma/GED
Certificate of completion from an accredited ASET program for EEG or AAS degree in electroneurodiagnostics from an accredited ASET program
Bachelor degree preferred.
Licensure
Required: Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R. EEG T.) Preferred: Registered Evoked Potential Technologist (R. EP T.), Certificate in Long Term Monitoring (CLTM), Certificate in Magnetoencephalography (CMEG), or Certificate in Neurophysiological Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (CNIM)
Special Skills
