The Educator of Central Sterile Processing will work for a non-profit health system, known for their acute care hospital, walk-in centers, and speciality services. The Educator of Central Sterile Processing will closely work with the Perioperative Surgical Services Manager to educate new hires and current department staff, update policy, procedures, and processes, manage supply ordering, and be a resource leader to the Central Sterile Processing Team. Ideally, the Educator of Central Sterile Processing will be responsible for (but not limited to):
Identifying the learning needs of new hires and current department staff in order to plan, develop, and modify educational curriculums and programs accordingly. Ensuring streamline processes are in place Overseeing and maintain the instrument tracking system Being up to date on techniques and best practices, including being knowledgeable of all IAHCSMM, federal, state and hospital standards of conductThe Educator of Central Sterile Processing will work at a hospital just off the coast of Delaware. The Educator of Central Sterile Processing must hold their CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certification or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician). Additionally the Educator of Central Sterile Processing should have prior experience working as a Sterile Processing Technician, ideally as an Educator, Manager, or Lead Tech. Plus, this individual should have prior experience with data entry and writing / updating policies and procedures.
