Description
Responsibilities: - Assisting in the day-to-day operations of the library & tech depot. This includes assisting students with chromebooks, checking out books, and reshelving books. - Assisting students with research, and finding quality online and book resources. - Work with LMC & ITL System Specialists in building 1 to 1 initiative. Ex: track Chromebook repairs, assist in troubleshooting of Chromebooks, assist in dispersion and collection of loaner Chromebooks. - Be familiar with all school rules and procedures and provide assistance and direction to students in a positive but firm manner. - Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills. - Supervise students in the lunchroom and other areas as assigned. - Willing to be trained to perform medical procedures such as care for diabetic students and administer epi-pen. etc.
Qualifications
Qualifications: - Above average human relations skills, demonstrating effective verbal/written communications with students, staff, parents and others encountered on the job. - Initiative and self-motivation to work independently. - Interest in being part of the school's cooperative and collaborative effort in providing the best educational opportunities to all students. - Ability to exercise good judgment in enforcing school rules. - Ability to work in a positive manner and keep school matters confidential. - Position requires ability to be on your feet for long periods of time (walking, stair climbing). - Position requires ability to move quickly, run, if necessary. - Knowledgeable about curriculum content and subject matter. - Knowledge of computer functionality and troubleshooting. - Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Google Calendar, G-mail - Proficient in the use of spreadsheets to track data. - Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the district may find appropriate and acceptable. - 2 yr Associates Degree preferred.
