The Education Coordinato r position plays a critical role by analyzing and supporting innovative teaching and learning activities for courses throughout the PharmD curriculum. This position reports to the Director and, as part of the Office of Education and Instructional Services (OEIS), works collaboratively with over 50 faculty and 400 students to evaluate and support teaching and learning. The incumbent participates in a variety of educational initiatives and activities related to the PharmD curriculum, serving as a liaison to campus offices including the Office of Student and Curricular Affairs, Learning Technologies, Kanbar Center, and Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, and Nursing.
The incumbent will independently coordinate student learning groups, classroom technologies, and online learning systems according to School policies. The incumbent is responsible for collecting and presenting data from courses (grades, technology usage, evaluations) and will have full authority to make independent decisions in shaping these communications. He/she will research educational technologies and active learning strategies and present recommendations to OEIS team and faculty course directors. The incumbent is responsible for creating and managing online and print resources for didactic courses, working with faculty course directors to ensure that resources are available to students and for implementing guidelines and policies determined by the University and
the School's Educational Policy Committee. **NOTE: This role is a Hybrid role. Days onsite TBD. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
