The Michigan Clinical Consultation & Care (MC3) program is seeking an experienced, collaborative person to join our team. MC3 provides no-cost psychiatry consultations, education, and resources to health care providers in Michigan treating pediatric and perinatal patients with behavioral/mental health concerns.
The Education Coordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating educational programs in the area of behavioral and mental health for MC3 program target audiences including pediatric and perinatal health care providers and behavioral health care providers in the school setting. This role will involve identifying educational content and modalities that will be most valuable and engaging to the target audience, developing, and organizing educational trainings and events, and evaluating the effectiveness of these programs. The Education Coordinator will report to the MC3 project manager and will work closely with the MC3 administrative team to ensure that the programs meet the needs of providers in the state of Michigan.
Develop and implement educational programs for target audience (25%) Collaborate with MC3 program team to identify educational needs and develop relevant programs (15%) Evaluate education needs, identify speakers and topics for trainings and events (15%) Moderate live web-based and in-person educational events (10%) Evaluate the effectiveness of education programs through surveys, feedback, and other methods (10%) Communicate with lecturers or trainers throughout planning to ensure required information is obtained and pre/post event information is communicated (5%) Collaborate on development of educational materials such as presentations, handouts, and online resources (5%) Collaborates in coordination of training sessions, workshops, and webinars (5%) Help maintain records of education activities and outcomes (5%) Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in pediatric and perinatal behavioral health education within the target audience (5%) Bachelor's degree in education, healthcare, or related field  Experience in developing and implementing education programs Knowledge of primary care and healthcare systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office Master's degree in education, healthcare, or related field This is a part-time position, 24 hours a week. Work hours should be conducted Monday-Friday between 8AM and 5PM and may include flex time around educational events.
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third-party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
In addition to the screenings indicated above under Michigan law, a criminal history check including fingerprinting is required as a condition of transfer or employment for this position.
