Responsibilities
• Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician's orders• Utilize a variety of complex ultrasound equipment• Identify the presence or absence of disease using knowledge of anatomy and physiology• Assist physicians with invasive echocardiography examinations• Modify procedures to meet special circumstances and provide clinically useful information• Comply with standards set forth by the American Society of Echocardiography and departmental policies and procedures
Requirements
• Oregon Sonographer certification upon hire• National Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire• National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire• National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire• Associate's Degree in Applied Science from a CAAHPE accredited school preferred• 1 year of experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations or minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities• Pediatric echocardiography experience preferred• Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients preferred• Experience with echo guided trans-catheter procedures preferred
