Early Childhood Teacher

Summary St. Saviour?s Church Nursery School , an NAEYC accredited program, is seeking a qualified and experienced early childhood teacher for the ******** school year. We are looking for a teacher who is excited to learn and implement new ideas, enjoys collaboration with colleagues and family and community engagement. The early childhood teacher will work with children as a co-lead teacher in a preschool classroom. The teaching team is responsible for the managing the daily operations of an early childhood classroom. The teaching team is responsible for planning and executing a develpmentally appropriate plan based on the school's curriculum and the CT ELDS. The teaching team is also responsible for authentic assessment of the children in their care. The nine month position follows the Greenwich public school calendar from September through early June. Hours on site are 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily with some flexibility for weekly planning, age level and staff meetings and professional development. Requirements
Requirements: Minimum of an Associate's degree in education Experience in an early childhood or kindergarten classroom A desire to continue learning through professional development Strong oral and written communication skills Skills including digital apps like Google Drive and Docs Familiarity with the CT ELDS and CT DOTS is a plus, as is experience in an NAEYC accredited program.
