In carrying out our mission, FCS stewardship and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Oversight of planning, designing, constructing, and maintaining university buildings, grounds, utility infrastructure, and energy and sustainability efforts for the physical campus in Ithaca, New York. Oversight of commuter, fleet, parking services, and campus mail. The Opportunity The Facilities Asset and Preventive Maintenance Program Coordinator oversees the integration of preventive maintenance strategies and asset management practices within the University's Facilities Enterprise Asset Management Systems (EAMS) and manages asset labeling and information management initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Asset Management & Logistics and collaborating closely with the Facilities Asset Manager, this role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of the university's built environment assets.
As the EAMS Facilities Asset and Preventive Maintenance Program Coordinator , you will engage as:
Program Administration and Communication Coordinator: Coordinate and communicate program activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder needs. Data Management, Analysis, and Reporting : Perform data collection, analysis, and reporting processes for facilities asset information, preventive maintenance, and asset labeling initiatives. Procurement and Contract Administration: Administer procurement processes and contracts related to facilities asset information data programs and asset labeling efforts. Process and Policy: Responsible for creating and enforcing program processes and policies to ensure consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement. Being proactive in prioritizing workload effectively and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Providing guidance and training to staff and stakeholders to enhance facilities asset management practices and optimize preventive maintenance strategies. Leverage expertise in both preventive maintenance and asset management through significantly contributing to the university's overall facility management objectives. Success Factors You're considered a top candidate for this position if you bring: Strong project administration skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives concurrently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in preventive maintenance strategies and EAM systems for efficient asset management. Experience in data management, analysis, and reporting within a facilities management context. Hours and Location FCS offices are located in the Humphries Service Building on Cornell's Ithaca campus. Core work hours for the team are Monday through Friday between 9:00AM-3:00PM, with flexibility on start and end times to complete the full-time work week hours. This position allows for a hybrid work schedule of 2 days remote and 3 days on campus. Exact hours and hybrid days will be determined between you and your supervisor.

Associates degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant field desirable. 4-6 years' experience with preventive maintenance functions, and facilities maintenance processes and assets. A depth of Program Coordination experience and professional judgement to proactively engage and build on their professional judgement. Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to build and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Must demonstrate effective organizational skills. Must possess the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and quickly change direction and re-prioritize. Experience working in a team environment to accomplish goals, be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and establish priorities. Must be able to provide explain detailed systems to a diverse user group Must have and maintain a valid driver's license; may be required to operate a motor vehicle (your own vehicle or Cornell-owned) to travel to/from job sites. Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software (MS Word, Excel, or others) Experience working with diversity, equity, inclusion, and wellbeing programs. Knowledge and understanding of MAXIMO Software Application (how the application works and how Preventive Maintenance work processes work with and integrate into the MAXIMO application). "Train the Trainer Training" experience. Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems is required. Working knowledge of logistics management for Facilities assets. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Rewards and Benefits This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Employees typically perform this role remotely 2 days per week and on-campus 3 days per week.
