Driver

Lynchburg Daily Bread is looking to hire a Driver for Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Job Description: The driver will prepare, distribute/deliver meals to people in need. Will also pick up food donations from local grocery stores, restaurants, colleges. Requires the ability to lift 25 pounds throughout the shift. Virginia driver's license in good standing, which meets our insurance requirements. Will be driving a Daily Bread cargo van (no special license required, Virginia Driver's License in good standing that meets our insurance requirements.) Assist Kitchen Manager with the handling and storage of food as needed, to include carrying boxes of food upstairs, sorting donations. Ensure that all volunteers, donors and guests feel welcome at the Daily Bread. We currently have a position available for 2-3 days a week. A 60 day review includes the opportunity for a raise and more hours, if desired. Hours are 7am-12:30pm. May arrive as early as 6am to assist the kitchen.
