Summary Statement:
Applies basic and some advanced technical skills and knowledge related to transport shipments between NORDAM Divisions, local vendors, and customers in the Tulsa area. Uses acquired knowledge of commercial driving regulations and area roads, and keep record of loads to be picked up and delivery details.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
Performs tasks that are simple to moderately complex requiring some skill, experience and judgment to complete to include:
Safe operation of delivery vehicleLoad/unload shipmentsEfficient route planning and executionMaintain log of shipments, including shipper/consignee information and other shipment detailsEnsure timely pickups and deliveries to NORDAM divisions, vendors, and customers.Refuel delivery truckMaintain and ensure cleanliness of assigned equipment.Conduct daily inspection of truck, including tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water. Report maintenance needs or mechanical failures to appropriate personnel.Work quickly and independently to deliver shipments in a timely manner.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal Education, Training and Work Experience:
High school diploma or G.E.D. and two (2) or more years of experience with moving large trucks within a confined area. At least 21 years of age.
Level of Supervision Required: Works under general supervision. Work is reviewed for completion to quality standards and schedule requirements. May adapt techniques and tools to meet special needs with approval from management.
Special Job Requirements, Licenses or Certifications:
Must be able to read and write the English language and learn to interpret and comprehend company policies, procedures, safety instructions, work instructions, engineering specifications, Material Safety Data Sheets, and other like documents used in an aerospace manufacturing environment.Must be able to arrive at work on time, work on-site, and attend regularly.Excellent time management and prioritization skillsBasic computer knowledge including using online mapping or GPS equipment, ability to useExperience driving 24-26' straight box truck or larger truck/equipmentMust have experience with moving large trucks within a confined areaMust have and maintain OK driver's license, CDL required.Knowledge of Tulsa and surrounding areaCertification in forklift operation required
Special Training:
Safety training as required by OSHA. Physical Requirements
Must be able to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week, if required. Additionally, those who work at NORDAM Repair Division must be able to ascend and descend stairs.
