The Job You Will Perform: The Drive/PLC Specialist is responsible for providing support to all areas of the mill for automation equipment which includes drives, Programmable Logic Controls and other systems as required. Once trained, they will be part of the Drive/PLC weekend duty team.
Successful candidates must demonstrate the following skills: Strong troubleshooting skills related to electrical systems, AC and DC Drives. Ability to troubleshoot PLC logic. Ability to utilize drawings and manuals to troubleshoot and resolve failures. Strong electrical aptitude as related to AC, DC and Synchronous motors. Results driven and action oriented. High level of attention to detail. Good organizational skills. Possess a high level of integrity –peers, supervisor, and craftsmen must be able to rely on the information given for accuracy and completeness. Insure timely and accurate reports. Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and keep track of and prioritize work schedule. Solid communication skills with different levels in the organization, primarily peers, supervisors and motor repair facilities. Working safely in an industrial environment. The Skills You Will Bring: Qualifications include being able to work in a team-based environment, willing to work flexible hours, which could include accepting callouts and working overtime on short notice. Continued advancement in Drives and PLCs is expected.
