Job Summary We are looking for an individual to join our client's team as Drafter II. Your primary function of this role is to support the Design and Drafting Department with Document Control requirements. You need to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient design and delivery of Electrical and Instrumentation drawings from conception to as-built state and continued maintenance and updates afterwards.
Job Description Coordinates multiple design and drafting requests to ensure timely and quality deliverables. Communicates with internal stakeholders to determine needs and satisfactions. Accountable for the implementation of existing document control specifications. Accountable for the reliability, retrievability and traceability of the project date that is officially transmitted to and from client's and in accordance with the Document Control standards and specifications. Process incoming and outgoing correspondence in a timely manner. Ensuring that each applicable metadata field is accurately updated and maintained in each Document Register. Aligning with the Document Control standards and ensuring any deviations due to project-specific needs are controlled and traceable. Providing back-up redline changes and corrections to drawings. (Minimal Work on this) – Teachable work Assists Engineering and Operations in Process Flow Diagrams (PFD's), Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID's), Facility Plot Plans, Electrical Hazardous Area Classification Plans, Electrical One Line Diagrams, Electrical Schematics, Panel Layouts, Emergency Operating Procedure Drawings, Cause & Effect Matrixes, Instrument Details, and any other associated drawings Prepares working plans and detail drawings and diagrams according to standards and specifications Coordinates multiple design and drafting projects to ensure timely and quality deliverables Communicates with internal and external stakeholders to determine needs and satisfactions Monitors and reports on third-party performance, progress, and quality Maintains, develops, and updates facility piping, mechanical, electrical, instrument, civil, and structural drawings, and data Skills Required 3-5 Preferred years direct experience in engineering and vendor document management in Oil & Gas Industry. 2-4 years of experience as a Drafter / Designer required Minimum of 2 years of related experience in the oil and gas industry, performing Design and Drafting Experience with and comprehension of drawing numbering, title blocks and revisions. Experience with and Electronic Data Management System and other Software. Intermediate to expert proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel. Experience with, and comprehension of, deliverables management (revision control, deliverables registers, transmittals, document registers and workflows). Experience in implementing document management systems to support electronic environment. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision. The ability to apply moderate redlines to drawings using AutoCAD. (Minimal Work on this) – Teachable Skill Demonstrate a broad level of knowledge concerning industry codes, standards, and practices (i.e., ASME, API, ANSI, DOT, ISA, NEC, ACCI, AISC, UBC, ASCE, NFPA, AWS, NACE, IBC, Etc.) Preferred Experience:
Proven Document Control experience with energy Owner/Operator company, preferably supporting project execution. Demonstrates understanding of naming schemas, data management standards and data migration. Experience with AutoCAD files.
