Job Summary We are looking for an individual to join our client's team as Drafter II. Your primary function of this role is to support the Design and Drafting Department with Document Control requirements. You need to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient design and delivery of Electrical and Instrumentation drawings from conception to as-built state and continued maintenance and updates afterwards.
Job Description Assists Engineering and Operations in Process Flow Diagrams (PFD's), Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID's), Facility Plot Plans, Electrical Hazardous Area Classification Plans, Electrical One Line Diagrams, Electrical Schematics, Panel Layouts, Emergency Operating Procedure Drawings, Cause & Effect Matrixes, Instrument Details, and any other associated drawings Prepares working plans and detail drawings and diagrams according to standards and specifications Coordinates multiple design and drafting projects to ensure timely and quality deliverables Communicates with internal and external stakeholders to determine needs and satisfactions Monitors and reports on third-party performance, progress, and quality Maintains, develops, and updates facility piping, mechanical, electrical, instrument, civil, and structural drawings, and data Will use their drafting knowledge to complement their efforts in our digital drawing migration efforts. Will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in our Design & Drafting Drawing Migration efforts. Client drawings are stored in various digital libraries, in which you and this team will work to migrate these drawings into a new Master Drawing Library. Day-to-day migration efforts will include: Pre-migration and migration efforts using AutoCAD, Excel macros & Microsoft Power Apps. Modify AutoCAD/Xref file naming for library compatibility. Identify a drawing and assign it to its proper discipline. Post migration QA/QC data verification. Skills Required Must be able to work under minimal supervision Demonstrate a broad level of knowledge concerning industry codes, standards, and practices (i.e., ASME, API, ANSI, DOT, ISA, NEC, ACCI, AISC, UBC, ASCE, NFPA, AWS, NACE, IBC, Etc. 2-4 years of experience as a Drafter / Designer required Minimum of 2 years of related experience in the oil and gas industry, performing Design and Drafting Education/Training/Certifications High School Diploma Additional Requirements Looking for someone with Drafter in the Oil and Gas industry, however they won't be doing any Drafting or Designing. Required for their drafting background to be in the Oil and Gas industry as they will use this knowledge to identify drawings and assign them the proper classification.
