JOB REQUIREMENTS: POSITION SUMMARY Looking for a Career that Matters? JOIN THE STAT Team! The Document Processing Specialist is responsible for the daily preparation, scanning, and verification of various documents. The Document Processing Specialist ensures all documents are processed in accordance with HMA and STAT Informatic Solutions ' guidelines. In addition, Document Processing Specialists are responsible for communicating all issues that impact the quality or timely completion of the production process to the Imaging Supervisor or Regional Director of Operations. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm or 10:00am - 6:30pm, $15.00 per hour plus benefits. Essential Functions: Accurately prepare documents for scanning based on guidelines established by HMA and STAT Informatic Solutions. Responsible for scanning documents using a scanner device ensuring the highest image quality. Meet daily production goals established by Operations Managers and/or Supervisors. Display effective and professional communication with internal and external customers. Adhere to all HIPAA and confidentiality policies at all times. May be responsible for assisting in the training of new hires by utilizing operational knowledge of production processes and STAT Informatic Solutions module based training programs. May be responsible for checking the queue as needed. Assist as directed with daily document quality control and processing of reports. Adhere to all policies, guidelines, programs, and procedures in the employee handbook. Participate in periodic team meetings as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. Assist in determining document management policies to facilitate efficient, legal, and secure access to electronic content. Implement electronic document processing, retrieval, and distribution systems in collaboration with other information technology specialists. Identify and classify documents or other electronic content according to characteristics such as security level, function, and metadata. Develop, document, or maintain standards, best practices, or system usage procedures. Prepare and record changes to official documents and confirm changes with legal and compliance management staff, including enterprise-wide records management staff. Exercise security surveillance over document processing, reproduction, distribution, storage, or archiving. Operate data capture technology to import digitized documents into document management system. Prepare support documentation and training materials for end users of document management systems. Search electronic sources, such as databases or repositories, or manual sources for information. Implement scanning or other automated data entry procedures, using imaging devices and document imaging software. * ** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Document Processing Specialists must be able to communicate (both written and oral) clearly, proactively and concisely with all key stakeholders, manage their time by organizing and completing work within given deadlines, and make critical decisions while following company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
