Responsibilities Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and related reports Post adjusting and accrual journal entries according to GAAP requirements Manages month-end inventory and quarterly inventory counts, and posts necessary adjustments Provide support as needed for preparing and presenting annual budgets Manage a team of ten including AP/Procurement, Billing, and Construction Admin departments Assist with employee staffing and development, and conduct annual employee development reviews for all direct reports Provide input, support, and roll-out for corporate initiatives at the local level Coordinate cross-training and back-up planning for all related accounting/administrative functions Provide financial and administrative training and support for division sales and plant operations managers as needed Assist with ad hoc reporting to the General Manager, Operations Managers, and corporate departments as needed Education Accounting degree preferred
Requirements/Qualifications Direct accounting experience (e.g. staff accountant, bookkeeper, etc.) At least two years of related supervisory experience Prior inventory management Experience with a large ERP system Knowledge of office procedures and systems Proficiency with all MS Office software, especially Excel Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills; must be a self-starter who is deadline driven Strong oral and written communication skills Experience troubleshooting complex administrative business problems Able to produce analysis and recommendations for problem-solving and process improvements Team player Preferred: Experience working in a construction materials business Experience with SAP Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) registration/clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing.
