Join a leading global technology company specializing in embedded computing solutions! We are seeking an experienced District Sales Manager to drive sales and build strategic relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) and Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) accounts in the Southwest region of the United States.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for achieving sales quotas, developing new accounts, nurturing existing customer relationships, and positioning our company as a trusted strategic partner. You will play a key role in understanding our customers' needs, mitigating their risks, and enhancing their market position through our innovative products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new OEM/ODM accounts and proactively identify opportunities to add value and strengthen customer relationships.
- Act as the quarterback, orchestrating resources to support key account requirements and win business.
- Build executive-level relationships and establish our company as a strategic partner.
- Meet and exceed assigned quarterly and annual quotas, including sales revenue, design wins, and new customer engagements.
- Cross-sell and upsell our comprehensive portfolio of products, solutions, engineering services, and DMS services across various vertical industries.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through consistent, productive account management and structured negotiations.
- Provide prompt responses to field questions and inquiries from customers.
- Manage and lead a team of Key Account Managers, responsible for their performance evaluation, professional development, and day-to-day leadership.
- Travel is required in this role to visit customers, prospects, or attend events (up to 50%).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent training.
- Minimum of 5+ years of successful key account management or similar roles, managing OEM/ODM and B2B relationships in computer and electronic manufacturing companies.
- Proven track record of selling computer hardware solutions and building OEM/ODM customers.
- Ability to forge and nurture executive-level relationships.
- Excellent strategic selling skills and experience in high-level sales engagements.
- Strong lead generation, account penetration, and pipeline management abilities.
- Exceptional communication (written, verbal, and listening) and presentation skills.
- Understanding of embedded systems and industrial PCs (hardware and software) is a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an aptitude for building strong customer relationships.
- A "hunter" mentality with a proven track record of prospecting and closing new business at new accounts.
- Proficiency in Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
