The Distribution Technology Manager is responsible for driving business and technology improvements in the J&J Medical Device Distribution Center in Mooresville Indiana (MD DC Mooresville) that drive service improvements, improves efficiency, and supports quality and compliance initiatives.
The leader will collaborate with Business Unit IT in support of system project delivery and problem resolution, including responsibilities for gathering requirements, system design, managing configuration and security, coordinating business testing, training business partners, and managing the issues resolution process.
As the overall business and information owner of the Warehouse Management Systems and Warehouse Control System, this role will work to ensure compliance of these systems.
The Distribution Technology Manager will provide direct supervision, oversight, coaching and mentoring to three (3) full time J&J Distribution Systems team members. Essential duties and responsibilities: Develop & deploy short-term and long-term strategies for Distribution Systems for the site. Build reasons for various Distribution Systems solutions, as well as lead the overall implementation of those solutions. Lead Distribution Technology Team in warehouse management system related projects including upgrades, improvements and the introduction of new technologies. Serve as a domain authority in the deployed warehouse management systems. Lead analysts supporting the daily support of the warehouse management systems. Ensure compliance of the Warehouse Management System and Warehouse Control System through teamwork and planning with QA CSV business partners. Lead audit efforts for Distribution Systems and ensure security within system meets SOX requirements. Provide leadership to the team in areas of people development, skill development and career development Develop new strategies for improving daily support of DC Operations while also delivering enhanced solutions for customers' needs. Qualifications Education: Minimum of a Bachelors degree and/or University degree required; focused degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, or Computer Science preferred. A Master's Degree, or equivalent, is preferred. Required: A minimum of six (6) years of relevant professional work experience. Experience operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, AND/OR Information Technology experience in a regulated environment Good understanding of Distribution Center operations Experience in computer systems and subject matter expertise in Warehouse Management Systems Experience leading teams (mentoring and coaching team members) Tight-knit collaboration skills and able to influence without authority Preferred: Healthcare industry experience Experience with FPX methodology, LEAN thinking and Process Excellence Demonstrated ability to think strategically and implement approved strategies to drive value Other: May require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel to other locations and sites Johnson & Johnson is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
