UPMC is looking for a full-time Distribution Supervisor to support our South Side Distribution Center.
This position works Monday- Friday, 8:00 am -4:30 pm. No weekends!
Purpose:
Under the general direction of the Distribution Manager, this position is responsible for the direct management of the labor resources at the System's centralized distribution center. This position is responsible for managing all inventory supply distribution activities on a daily basis including the receiving, warehousing, and delivery of product from the centralized distribution center. This position is directly responsible for supply replenishment for patient and ancillary units at 21 hospital and senior care facilities, as well as, several UPMC satellite facilities.
Responsibilities: Performs all other related responsibility as required to assure continuity and the efficient operation of the department. Responsible for the development and maintaining of internal and system policies and procedures. Maintain decentralize payroll and attendance of reporting staff. Tracks and records attendance, productivity, and error levels by each individual picker. Oversees and participates in continuous slotting of the centralized distribution center according to best practice velocity slotting. Designs work assignments and ensures adequate staffing levels are maintained. Conduct Annual and semi-Annual Performance reviews for all hourly employees on the warehousing side of the centralized distribution center.
