"Job#: 2012161Job Description:Global Distribution Safety and Security LeadThe purpose of this role is to define and ensure the compliance to Distribution Safety and Security requirements across business units. This role is responsible to ensure the management systems are in place to govern our companys Distribution Safety and Security Risk Management program including policies, standards, metrics, training program and management system reviews.This role is recognized as the subject matter expert in transport regulations and represents the organization in external advocacy organizations. He/she leads the global network of compliance leaders. This role leads projects across regions, functions, and business units to ensure that we have processes in place to manage risk.What Youll Do:Global Governance:Represent Distribution Safety and Security to all levels and functions within the Crop Protection and Seeds organizations.Leverage the governance model across the global organization, ensuring communication, training, and compliance, with sustainable control plans.Lead creation of, ownership, and maintenance of the DSS standard, ensuring completion of global communication, training, and compliance including the management review processLead global network of the crop protection Distribution Compliance Leaders/Dangerous Goods Focal PointsLead Global Distribution Safety and Security monthly team meetings.Regulatory Compliance and Advocacy:Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in transport regulations.Maintain personal certification in the required transport regulations.Represent organization in external industry associations and forums as needed.Support internal and external compliance objectives across all modes of transport.Consult and train on Dangerous Goods classification and safety advisory matters as needed.Ensure compliance on all the transport regulations and internal standards, through the documentation of requirements and the implementation of the corresponding procedures.Provide interpretations and guidance for complying with and implementing new U.S. Department of Transportations safety rulemakings and amendments to international transport regulations issued by the United Nations (IMO and IATA/ICAO).international Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)International Air Transport Association (IATA).international Maritime Organization (IMO)Contribute to Root Cause Investigations of transport incidents and follow-up of the corrective actions.Distribution Risk Program:Define requirements for our Distribution Risk Management program elements.Lead the Distribution Risk Review Competency and process.Ensure compliance with process and timely completion of any follow up items identified.Project Management:Identify improvement opportunities and ensure follow-up and completionParticipate in projects related to the implementation of regulatory changes.Critical Success factors:Ability to manage globally, while translating into tactical components for local level executionStrong team player with ability to network across all regions and functionsInterpersonal, communication, and leadership skillsTransportation regulatory expertiseAnalytical skills and change management skillsProject Management experienceQualificationsEducation:Bachelors degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or Chemistry with some expertise in Logistics and EHandSWhat Skills You Need:7+ years of experience in the fields of distribution safety and security and EHandSExpertise and certifications in ICAO/IATA, ADR, and IMDGExpertise and certification in 49 CFRPlease note there is NO visa sponsorship available for this position.Global Distribution Safety and Security LeadThe purpose of this role is to define and ensure the compliance to Distribution Safety and Security requirements across business units.
