Job Summary Construct a foundation for your career at Border States with our two-year, fast-track Distribution Leadership Program . This role consists of position rotations, intense learning experiences and networking opportunities designed to create future leaders in all areas of the business. This program was specifically created for recent college graduates and young professionals looking to build a career path within our industry and is highly customizable. Upon successful completion of the program, the Distribution Leadership Program Trainee will be placed in a position within operations, sales, sales support, management, or corporate, among others, finding the right opportunity to match up skill sets and interests with business needs. The projected start window for this will role will be between April 1st and July 31st, 2024 at a date most compatible with the selected candidate. 
Responsibilities Essential Functions Completes a 2-year program focused on work life experiences in multiple parts of the business, coaching and foundational educational courses designed for future leaders. Completes extensive training on Border States products through industry-based self-guided product knowledge training, manufacturer training and plant tours. Completes extensive training on Border States service capabilities through operations and logistics experiences. Introduction to Border States customers through sales and customer experiences. Participation in cohort group workshops and both local and company-wide projects. Experience all sales support roles to develop the ability to work cross-functionally with sales teams and market segments to achieve customer service and sales objectives.  Develop higher level business knowledge through travel opportunities to multiple Border States locations throughout the duration of the program. Participates in an extensive coaching and assessment-feedback system. Non-essential Functions Participates in additional projects and meetings. Other duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications Minimum four-year degree in Engineering, Business, Sales/Marketing or Industrial Distribution or trade degree or equivalent work-related experience required. Previous sales or customer service experience preferred. Requires a valid driver's license. Skills and Abilities Excellent customer service skills include being competent, accurate, responsive, and engaged. Willingness to travel and work in assigned Border States locations during the program. Willingness to relocate to designated Border States location at the start of the program. Flexibility in being willing to relocate with assistance to assigned Border States location after completion of the program.
