Responsibilities
• Responsible for the operation and staff of the distribution center• Hire, train, develop, and evaluate branch management and hourly colleagues• Manage customer service aspects of business and flow of inbound & outbound product• Ensure adherence to company policies and state/federal laws• Conduct surveys of customer satisfaction• Monitor flow of scheduled inbound product• Review electronic purchase orders and troubleshoot overdue order listings• Hire, onboard, and train drivers, warehouse, and office staff• Demonstrate leadership and supervise branch staff• Coordinate activities associated with payroll, workers compensation, and other personnel matters• Budget and develop action plans for cost controls and profitability goals• Maximize truck and labor potential• Maintain safe work environment and ensure compliance with regulations• Obtain excellent ratings from Quality Assurance and AIB
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field• Minimum of five (5) years manager-level experience in transportation/warehouse industry• Strong understanding of compliance requirements and regulations• Four years of experience in food service distribution industry• Excellent communications skills• Experience in forecasting and managing budgets
