Dish Steward

Job Summary:The Dish Steward at Galaxy Restaurant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. This individual will support the kitchen and waitstaff by maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and is able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Compensation & Benefits:This is a full-time hourly position in the restaurant industry. The compensation for this position is $15 per hour, paid biweekly. Employees are also eligible for company benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.Responsibilities:Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipmentMaintain a clean and organized dishwashing areaAssist with food prep and restocking kitchen supplies as neededCollaborate with kitchen and waitstaff to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes to guestsAdhere to all safety and sanitation guidelinesAssist with general kitchen maintenance and cleaning tasks as neededRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is a plusAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyStrong work ethic and attention to detailAbility to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 poundsMust be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidaysEEOC Statement:The Galaxy Restaurant is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
