The Position

Roche Diagnostics Corporation seeks a Disease Area Partner in its Indianapolis, Indiana location.

Duties: Develop medical components of the overall local medical strategy for a given disease area (and related assets/services) leveraging external stakeholder generated insights/needs to ensure fast access with better outcomes for more patients by collaborating with the cross functional core team, in close collaboration with the Scientific Partners and other MSA stakeholders. Leverage the broader medical network of capabilities (e.g. other SLs, field medical leads, and others) to successfully execute medical plans. Design advisory boards and other external insights activities to gather external stakeholder feedback and input. Identify and prioritize local evidence gaps and design evidence solutions across life cycle to meet diverse stakeholder needs (including but not limited to, regulatory, access, laboratory and clinical stakeholders). Identify external stakeholder educational and knowledge gaps, design and develop relevant educational tools, materials and programs that have a high impact for patient care, while creating efficiencies for Roche MSA, reducing the need for travel and onsite delivery. Provide strategic guidance and work collaboratively to define the local field plan for field partners and scientific liaisons, or other relevant field based roles that take into account the external stakeholder generated needs/insights. Create a toolbox of educational tools for the Disease Area Network. Develop a robust network outside of the company that can be strategically tapped for speakers, advocacy work, and medical insights. Review outputs of internal partners for medical accuracy and patient centricity. Identifies opportunities for cross-functional cooperation to maximize utilization of resources.

Education and experience required: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Science, Medicine or related field and 5 years of experience as Disease Area Strategy Lead, Director of Medical Strategy, Product Manager or related field.

Alternative education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Science, Medicine or related field and 7 years of post-baccalaureate and progressive experience as Disease Area Strategy Lead, Director of Medical Strategy, Product Manager or related field.

Special Requirements: Must have minimum of 5 years of experience with the following:
Deep medical knowledge and oncology clinical experience;
Understanding of genetics as applied to oncology including understanding the biology and genetics behind each pathway and its diagnosis for different oncology diseases;
Developing integrated strategic medical plans;
Pharmaceutical industry and diagnostics experience.

Position allows telecommuting up to 100% from lower 48 states.

Position requires domestic travel 30% of the time, fully-reimbursed.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of Indiana is $165,192 to $220,900.00 per year. Actual pay within the range will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
