Qualifications:
Current CHRC authorization through the State ofMaine Department of Education. High School Diploma or equivalent. ValidCommercial Vehicle License S Endorsement (School Bus Driver). Three (3)years of bus driving experience or equivalent.
Description:
MSAD #11 is looking for a dedicated team player. Thesuccessful candidate must have a working knowledge of public-schooltransportation issues, guidelines, and laws. The ability to practiceparticipatory management, possession of good organizational skills,strong communication skills and the knowledge of effective leadership.Successful experience working in a leadership/supervisory role in eithereducation or business.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Ensures that the transportation department conforms to all federal,state, and local laws and regulations regarding schooltransportation.
Prepares and updates the annual bus schedules for all schools in thedistrict and develops recommendations for future transportationneeds base on a variety of student, school, and community data.
Prepares and maintains the transportation budget. Initiatespurchases in accordance with district policies.
Prepares, maintains, and updates all Maine/Federal required reports.
Takes an active role in resolving discipline issues occurring onschool buses, working collaboratively with Building Administrators.
Responds to family and public inquiries with accurate, timelyinformation.
Advises superintendent on road conditions relative to inclementweather for decisions on potential school closings.
Reviews bus routes, pick-up locations, and busloads to assure thesafest and most efficient operation of the transportation system.
Knowledge of and experience working with TRANSVERSA, Google Apps,ADS system, and PowerSchool is preferred.
