Responsibilities
• Oversee all aspects of front and back of house operations• Exercise leadership and discretionary authority to solve managerial, technical production, and operational concerns• Develop and implement budgets• Research and develop strategies for equipment and facility upgrades• Collaborate with other production staff to achieve shared goals• Train students and part-time staff in technical theatre areas• Supervise full-time and part-time staff• Report to the Production Director for the Performing Arts• Work on campus in the evenings and on weekends during production periods• Deliver client and customer satisfaction
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training• Master's degree in a theatre discipline or arts management preferred• 8-13 years of related experience• Experience in production management in a college or university setting• Experience maintaining a high standard of productivity• Previous supervisory/managerial experience• Experience creating production schedules and determining staffing needs• Experience in hiring, training, evaluating, directing, and resolving complaints• Shift work and travel required
