About the Role: Director, Teaching and Learning
Join us in our mission to support student success by becoming our Director of Teaching and Learning. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in shaping our academic vision and executing strategies that drive transformative outcomes for all students. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you'll lead a dedicated team focused on enhancing teaching practices and curriculum delivery across our schools in Tulsa.
Your Responsibilities Include (But Are Not Limited To):
Managerial Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and mentor a team of curriculum directors and principals, aligning their efforts with our academic vision.
Provide ongoing support and coaching to enhance leadership competencies within the team.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture through effective communication and team-building activities.
Strategic Planning and Change Management:
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement strategies for improving academic outcomes.
Drive change management initiatives to ensure successful implementation of new strategies.
Ensure alignment and the broader educational landscape.
Curriculum, Assessment & Instruction:
Oversee curriculum implementation and assessments across all grade levels.
Cultivate external partnerships to enhance curriculum and teacher development initiatives.
Lead innovative learning initiatives to ensure high-quality learning experiences for all students.
Data Fluency:
Design and implement data systems to drive strategic decision-making.
Analyze regional data to inform action plans for improving student achievement.
Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making within the organization.
School Support:
Establish a robust coaching cycle to support instructional practices and address development gaps.
Collaborate with school leaders to devise data-driven action plans for improved student outcomes.
Ensure equitable distribution of resources and coaching support across all schools.
Professional Development:
Coordinate and deliver professional development activities for staff at all levels.
Design and implement region-wide professional growth strategies for teachers and leaders.
Provide guidance and support for the to empower student success beyond graduation.
Desired Experience:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in education or related field preferred.
Minimum 10 years of teaching experience with a proven track record of student achievement.
Strong leadership and coaching experience, preferably at the regional or district level.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range: $90,000-$105,000.
