Director Of Tax

As the Director of Tax, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the tax function, including tax compliance, planning, strategy, and reporting. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, identifying tax-saving opportunities, and providing strategic tax advice to our clients. Responsibilities Develop and execute tax strategies that minimize the company's tax liabilities and maximize financial performance Manage all tax compliance activities, including the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns Ensure timely and accurate tax reporting and compliance with all tax laws and regulations Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate any potential impacts to the organization Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement tax planning opportunities Provide strategic tax advice to senior management to support decision-making and business planning Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors Oversee the preparation and submission of tax provision calculations and disclosures Identify and implement process improvements to streamline tax operations Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field Real Estate industry preferred. Big 4 experience CPA preferred Minimum of 8 years of experience in tax, with a focus on tax compliance and planning Experience in a leadership or management role Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations Experience with tax software and ERP systems Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to effectively communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities $80-120/hr DOE
