Director of Sales - Columbus, OH
Reports to: General Manager
Lexington Hotel Group is seeking a proactive and passionate Hotel Sales professional with a minimum of 5 years sales experience to join our growing team. This candidate needs to be self-motivated and driven by the hunt. Must be able to communicate in a positive and productive way both internally and externally to ensure success for the customer and the hotel and boost top-line revenue growth.
The ideal candidate is: Customer Service Oriented and Focused on Exceeding Guest Expectations Organized and Detail Oriented Self-Motivated and able to Multi-Task and Manage Time to meet Multiple Deadlines Work Collaboratively with the Hotel Team and Market Team Able to effectively manage a Fast-Paced Hotel Environment Willing and able to Prospect Current and Prospective accounts Responsibilities: Develop and Execute Sales and Marketing Plan to drive business in both Group, Corporate Preferred and Catering markets. Establish and Maintain customer relationships. Understand and keep up to date with industry and competitive market knowledge. Collaboratively work with the General Manager to achieve 100% or more of business transient goals, group room goals, and catering revenue goals, through ADR and occupancy. Prospect new and existing business opportunities proactively through weekly appointments, cold calls, warm referrals, networking, follow up, internet prospecting and sales blitzes. Qualify small to mid-size meetings with and without F&B, create BEO and Finalize Details. Communicate effectively to both internal and external customers. We are a Team Focused organization and must be able to assist as needed in all areas of the organization. Ability to learn and use a variety of software systems required for tracking, reserving and reporting including Word, Excel and Delphi. Attend Weekly revenue meetings and stay ahead and group trends, pick up and cutoff dates for accurate forecasting. Minimum Requirements: Minimum of 5 years HOTEL sales experience. Leadership Experience is a plus. Detail oriented and organized. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines.
