A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE DIRECTOR OF PURCHASING As the Director of Purchasing, you are responsible for buying quality products and services for the company at the lowest levels. You would need to develop and implement purchasing control procedures and sequence of operations within the department, monitor purchase order claims and contracts, consult with suppliers when serious variations arise in delivery, quality, and price, review weekly inventory trends and participate in the strategic planning process.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE DIRECTOR OF PURCHASING 8+ years of related experience Preferred: Bachelor's Degree or higher Do you have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal? Do you enjoy building relationships with people? Are you team-oriented? Do you have creative problem-solving skills? If so, you might just be perfect for this Director of Purchasing position!
WORK SCHEDULE This position requires working Monday - Friday during typical business hours when the business clients that you support are also working.
