Job Opportunity: Senior Manager Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) In Vitro-Diagnostics (IVD) Client Overview: Our client, a key player in the diagnostics industry, is seeking a highly experienced professional to lead the expert network function within their Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) department. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, reliable, and cost-effective operation of the department, with a particular focus on advanced diagnostic technologies including molecular diagnostics, microbiology testing reagents, automated laboratory systems, and molecular biology kits.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a high-performing team of product experts in close collaboration with key departments such as R&D, Manufacturing, QC, QA, RA, and others to effectively integrate and enhance a diverse and strategic product portfolio. Oversee technical product transfers, design transfers, and conduct detailed technical investigations across multiple sites and departments, ensuring seamless operations and excellence in production. Strategically evaluate and identify new product opportunities, aligning development and integration with overall business objectives and operational capabilities. Effectively manage resource allocation across the team to support dynamic business needs, including scaling operations and introducing new products. Accountabilities: Build and maintain a robust expert network function tailored to the diagnostics sector, developing necessary capabilities to support the MSAT department. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards, with adherence to global and local regulatory requirements as well as quality and safety policies. Champion continuous improvement and innovation within the team, driving enhancements in product quality and operational efficiency. Lead team development, fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous professional growth, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback. Leadership and People Management: Foster a culture of high motivation, strong team spirit, and collaboration, inspiring teams to achieve ambitious goals and adapt to changing business needs. Act as a visible and proactive change agent, encouraging open-mindedness and flexibility in facing new opportunities. Set strategic, ambitious goals that align with the site's value proposition and overarching company objectives. Maintain effective communication within the team and across organizational networks to ensure alignment and collaboration. Quality and Compliance: Uphold stringent compliance with all applicable regulatory and quality standards, implementing and maintaining a robust Quality Management System (QMS). Lead efforts to ensure all manufacturing processes meet the highest quality standards and comply with safety and environmental regulations. Product Supply and Cost Management: Ensure uninterrupted supply of high-quality products, managing budgets and resources to meet operational and strategic demands. Implement cost control measures and seek opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance productivity and competitiveness. General Duties: Regularly communicate with senior management and external stakeholders about activities, critical issues, and strategic opportunities. Manage and optimize relationships with external authorities and communities to ensure smooth cooperation and compliance. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Biological Science, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field. At least 10 years of experience in the Diagnostic industry, with a deep understanding of diagnostic reagent manufacturing processes, technical transfers, and equipment validation. Demonstrated expertise in leading teams, building consensus, and managing conflicts within high-stake environments .
