Job Description

The Director of Maintenance will be responsible for the guidance and leadership of the skilled trades group, taking the initiative
in leading capex projects, using industrial engineering studies to support our goal of continuous improvement and will be
responsible for implementing a Tool Room system.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years experience and knowledge of electrical, PLCs, robotics and building maintenance. Interested and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply today as interviews are being conducted immediately!

Vendor management and purchasing from suppliers of equipment, raw materials, tool room supplies, etc.
Partners with the Operations team to develop and establish proactive continuous improvement projects in key
metrics of safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and profitability.
Direct the Maintenance department activities across all three shifts to support the production schedule.
Propose improvements in processes, energy usage, resources, quality, employee safety and food safety.
Evaluate and recommend process flow changes, equipment upgrades, and standardize changeovers and/or
repair procedures.
Lead research into capital expenditure proposals and spending. Partner with CEO and other senior leadership
team members on strategy for equipment, building, and other fixed assets.
Must be able to apply Lean tools for process improvements including statistical analysis, TQM principles, value
stream mapping, root cause analysis and Six Sigma.
Implement reliability engineering principles to increase uptime and process capability (Cp/CpK).
Deliver technical training and coaching to develop team members on an ongoing basis.
Provides technical oversight of large-scale project work, monitors progress against schedules, reviews
equipment design, and allocates the correct resources to projects.
Reads, analyzes and interprets instructions, blueprints, reports, and schedules.
Provides accurate costing of jobs/projects and demonstrates considerable negotiations skills with vendors
providing services and/or products.
Drive continuous improvement in uptime, reliability, and repeatability in processes using root cause analysis
(RCA) and failure mode effects analysis (FMEA).
Using data mining, identify reliability improvement opportunities.
Refine and further develop the PM (preventative maintenance) program and research predictive maintenance
systems.
