Chelsea Hospitality Group (CHG) is a new sibling brand of Dartcor Food Services—a family-owned corporate dining business with nearly four decades of experience in the tri-state area. CHG is dedicated to creating world-class food and beverage experiences with a focus on people. Its mission is to become an integral member of the communities it serves by developing hospitality concepts that foster trust, belonging, and support. CHG's latest project is unique to Morristown, NJ. As the food service manager for a new state-of-the-art, 260,000-square-foot office building, CHG will operate multiple F&B outlets onsite, including a ground floor restaurant and bar (open to the public), conference catering, pantry services, and pop-up concepts. This job presents an incredible opportunity to join the development and onsite operations team as a senior leader, and to leave an indelible mark on our client's workplace and broader Morristown community. Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement a comprehensive food and beverage strategy aligned with the property's overall goals. Stay updated with industry trends to enhance offerings and maintain competitiveness. Foster creativity and innovation in approach. Leadership mindset in community, culture and creativity Clear and decisive leadership in setting goals, aligning teams around those goals and holding everyone accountable to achieving shared outcomes. Operational and Financial Management:
Oversee day-to-day operations of all F&B outlets. Maintain high service standards, cleanliness, and presentation. Develop and manage the annual F&B budget, ensuring financial goals are met. Quarterly review and budgeting to go over results with leadership. Implement cost control measures to maximize profitability. Review and approve departmental payroll. Menu Development:
Work with the Executive Chef, Beverage Director, and consulting chefs (Chef Collective) to create and update diverse menus. Ensure menus reflect local trends and brand standards. Maintain competitive pricing and quality standards. Train colleagues on offerings. Inventory and Cost Management:
Leverage technology to manage inventory and cost control measures. Leadership and Development:
Recruit, train, and manage F&B management team. Foster a positive work environment and encourage professional growth. Challenge team to elevate service standards. Guest and Customer Relations:
Build strong relationships and obtain feedback for improvement. Address guest concerns promptly and exceed expectations in service. Ensure colleagues adhere to standards. Conference Catering and Event Planning:
Coordinate execution of private events, weddings, etc. Food Safety:
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor liability regulations. Qualifications: Strong understanding of food and beverage financials including cost and par controls. Experience recruiting, developing and leading teams in a complex food and beverage operation. Reputation for people and cultural development. Strong administrative skills. Strong working knowledge of latest technologies available for food and beverage. Ability to help drive brand and reputation awareness both internally and externally. Dedication to the craft of cooking and art of elevated hospitality. Strong knowledge of wine and spirits. Passionate about people. Established vendor relationships with the ability to develop new relationships as necessary. Attention to detail and fresh perspective in problem-solving. Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Excellent communication skills both in person and virtual.
