As the Finance & Operations Director, you'll be at the heart of our mission, ensuring smooth operations and financial management to drive our impact forward.
Your Role:
As the Finance & Operations Director, you'll be instrumental in overseeing the fiscal health of our organization and ensuring operational excellence. From managing finances to fostering a positive work environment, your contributions will directly impact our ability to serve the community effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the CEO to implement strategic initiatives and provide regular updates to the Board of Directors.
Develop and maintain agency policies in alignment with our mission and values.
Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, providing insights for informed decision-making.
Work closely with team members to manage databases and deliver program outcomes for grant compliance.
Oversee insurance policies and ensure compliance with workers' compensation regulations.
Lead new employee orientation and facilitate background screenings.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with grant requirements.
Reconcile bank accounts and record financial transactions.
Prepare grant reimbursement materials and support audits.
Assist in budget preparation and grant proposals.
Monitor programs for compliance with funding requirements.
Foster a positive team atmosphere and support staff development initiatives.
Qualifications:
Experience in accounting, preferably in a nonprofit or fund accounting environment.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with financial software such as Blackbaud's Financial Edge is a plus.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to engage with stakeholders and community partners effectively.
Willingness to participate in professional development activities.
Valid Florida State driver's license and reliable vehicle for local travel.
